Fiona Asbury is an incredibly versatile saxophonist, in demand as a pop, jazz and classical musician.
She has played with large scale productions in arenas, smaller signed bands in some of Europe's most exclusive underground venues, as well as major corporate events for some of the UK's finest agencies, both at home and abroad.
In 2021 Fiona was appointed Musical Director for the Name That Tune house band for prime time Fox TV in America, a show which is soon to be filmed for ITV in the UK. In the last few years she has toured China, Europe and Scandinavia, and performed in Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Morocco, Tunisia, Peru and the Dominican Republic. Fiona has performed and recorded with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the Aurora Ensemble. Alongside her performance work, she is also in demand as an arranger and composer.
Fiona's favourite song in the set is probably Feel The Force, such a banger and takes no prisoners! Everyone has to be so tight, and we always are.
Her favourite moment in the set is probably when Simon goes into the crowd to accost the audience who are doing the Oops Upside Your Head row boat! Not least because Simon's acrobatic re-entry back up onto the stage is something to behold!
