Contact Us✦✦✧✧How cookies and similar technologies are used on the Uncle Funk website, and how to manage them.
Last updated: 4 September 2026
This policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the Uncle Funk's Disco Inferno website.
Cookies are small text files that a website can place on your device. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember your preferences, and to tell site owners how their pages are being used. Similar technologies such as local storage do much the same job by keeping small amounts of data in your browser.
This site uses cookies and similar technologies in three ways: measurement, so we can see which pages people find useful; a small amount of storage we set ourselves, to make one page load faster on a return visit; and content embedded from other services, which sets its own cookies.
We do not run advertising on this site, and we do not use what we collect to build a marketing profile of you.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages are read. It starts when the page loads and it sets two cookies in your browser:
Both last up to 400 days. Neither holds your name, your email address or anything you type into the enquiry form, and we read them only as totals: which pages were viewed, on what kind of device, and roughly where in the world the visit came from.
Google provides this service and also processes the data under its own terms, which are published at policies.google.com/privacy. If you would rather not be counted at all, Google publishes an opt out for every major browser at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and the browser controls described below work too.
Our socials page can keep a short lived copy of our latest Instagram posts in your browser’s local storage, so the feed appears immediately on your next visit instead of being fetched again. It holds only the public post images and links, expires after six hours, and contains nothing personal to you. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
We do not use cookies to identify you personally.
Some pages load material from other services, and those services may set their own cookies when that content loads:
We also link out to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and Bandsintown. Those links set nothing while you are on our pages; if you follow one, that service’s own cookies and policies apply from that point.
We do not control third party cookies and cannot see what they contain. If you want to know how each provider uses them, please read that provider’s own cookie and privacy policy.
You can accept or refuse cookies through your browser settings, and you can delete cookies that have already been set. Every major browser offers these controls in its privacy or security preferences, and most also offer a private browsing mode that clears everything when you close the window.
Blocking cookies will not stop this site working. The pages, the navigation and the enquiry form all function normally without analytics, though the embedded player may not appear, and the enquiry form needs Cloudflare’s spam check in order to accept your message.
We may update this policy if the way we use cookies changes. The version on this page is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
